Two Fab Shows for Your Friday!

Today Editors' Closet debuted two fantastic shows from two coveted designers. The first show is an apparel boutique by one of the world’s leading fashion designers, Oscar de la Renta. De la Renta got his start in fashion doing sketches for top Spanish fashion houses, which led him into an apprenticeship with Cristóbal Balenciaga. He later left Balenciaga to work as a couture assistant for Lanvin in Paris. In 1963, torn between job opportunities with Elizabeth Arden and Christian Dior, de la Renta took the advice of Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Diana Vreeland, and worked designing custom clothing for Arden for two years. In 1965, he left to work for Jane Derby and when she passed away a few months later, he took over the label and relaunched it under his own name. With a resume like this, it’s no wonder why Oscar de la Renta has become such an infamous designer. Don't miss this amazing opportunity to own your own Oscar and save up to 79% on dozens of gorgeous, timeless styles.

The second show is an apparel, handbag and footwear boutique from Italian fashion design house, Moschino. The label was founded in 1983 by Franco Moschino and quickly became known for its bright color palette and eccentric designs. Prior to this, he did sketches for Gianni Versace's PR campaign in 1971, then went on to work for another Italian fashion house, Cadette. Unfortunately, Franco passed away in 1994 and his assistant took over as creative director. Since then, some of the label's accolades include designing the outfits for the 2006 Winter Olympics, as well as designing tour costumes for Kylie Minogue and Madonna. Other labels also by Moschino include Moschino Cheap and Chic and Love Moschino. Head over to Editors' Closet now and start shopping chic and beautiful pieces from two amazing designers.
