Christian Dior Accessories Sale & Oakley Timepiece Event - Today on Editors' Closet!

Today, Editors' Closet is showcasing a Christian Dior Accessories Boutique – sunglasses, gloves, and belts are now up to 82% off the MSRP! Famed French designer, Christian Dior, debuted his first collection, Corolle (which literally means circlet of flower petals), in 1947. At a time of boxy, conservative World War II styles, Dior strove to create “flower women” with voluptuous, soft silhouettes. Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief, Carmel Snow, named Dior’s revolutionary direction, “New Look.” Although it’s been over 50 years since his passing, Dior’s designs continue to push the fashion envelope attracting a loyal celeb following. Lady Gaga, the most recent addition to the House of Dior, joins Madonna, Blake Lively, Ziyi Zhang and many more.

The second trunk show is an Oakley Timepiece Event. Known for being created for world-class athletes and those who seek to conquer the most impossible of challenges, Oakley represents its commitment to excellence - "a passion that redefines what is possible for those who defy their own limits". Snag your Oakley timepiece and let it be a constant reminder or your commitment to excellence in 2011.

Perfect Accessories from MISSONI + Swiss Watch Blowout!

Our first show that was featured today is a personal favorite of mine. I absolutely love Missoni accessories! Shoes, scarves, belts, totes - you name it, I'll take it. Not that I don't appreciate Missoni apparel, but their accessories just have that extra pop that can add the perfect touch of high fashion style to any boring ensemble. Today's Missoni boutique showcases various scarves and ponchos, meant to enhance any outfit at any time of year. Missoni was founded in 1953 by husband and wife, Ottavio and Rosita Missoni. Now under the creative leadership of the couple’s daughter, Angela, this luxury label continues to bring us must-have swimwear, apparel, shoes, accessories and so much more. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to own a piece of this exquisite collection.

The second show is a Swiss Watch Blowout. When it comes to a top notch timepiece, Swiss movement watches embody the concept of quality and craftsmanship that has been forged over many, many years. It is for this reason that the Swiss movement watches are considered top of the line when it comes to timepieces. For the next 48 hours at EditorsCloset.com, you can save over 80% off on dozens of these exquisite watches!

My First Prada Piece - What Was Yours??

It was my first Christmas with my first "real" boyfriend. His family always exchanged presents on Christmas Eve, right after dinner. A mutual friend of ours knew what he had gotten me and for MONTHS would tell me about how "AMAZING" my gift was, but would never divulge any details. As I sat on the floor next to the Christmas tree with a beautifully wrapped present in my hands, I slowly began to tear away the gold metallic paper. Underneath was a black waxy box with a red line across the middle that read, "PRADA". PRADA! I rapidly ripped away the rest of the paper and opened the box. In red tissue, was an army green nylon hobo. Very military chic (he was way ahead of the fashion curve). Inside the pocket was the authentic Prada card, that embarrassingly I still keep in my wallet. It was my first designer piece and I swear it changed me forever. I have not carried a non-designer handbag since and I hope I never will! What was your first Prada/designer piece? Not a part of the Prada posse? Today is your lucky day! Shop our Prada Boutique and save up to 84% on stunning gowns, suits, outerwear, and so much more!
